Nothing gets me going fishing wise as finding a new lake, hard to get into, and finding some nice walleye fishing

When I was younger I chased steelhead around southern Ontario and Michigan almost daily. Now I enjoy a quiet lake and a good walleye bite.

I am with the FOZ.....get the coordinates and find a way in. I equally favor walleye and brookies though.

Interesting replies. Surprised by the number of Laker fans. We are lucky in NWO to have such diverse fishing opportunities.

It is amazing by the number of species we have here. Lakers are a ton of fun!

I'm slowly getting into brook trout again.

Roger.

Johnr I totally agree, some lakes have taken me years to get into. There's still a couple that I'm stumped on and have found no way to get into, besides straight up carrying a boat through thick bush. It haunts me because these lake are no access but i have maps that show walleye in them lol.

In NWO brookies all the way, one of the finest brook trout fisheries I've ever fished.

Squaretail

In our area pretty hard to top a large nipigon square tail on the line.

Herring: One of the most nutrient dense fish thats lowest in contanimates swimming in Superior, generous limits, easy to catch and since they run in the upper water column, the sight fishing opportunities are a blast. Also, where theres herring, theres usually big lakers lurking nearby.
