i have a bear tag. I'm on holidays for the calf season this year. If I happen to end up using my bear tag before the end of the season while on holidays can I leave my bear hanging in camp till I leave to go home or does the bear have to be out of the bush by season end?

I would assume that as long as the tag is cut with time/date you will be ok. I'm sure someone else here may be able to be more assistance.

I sent an email to mnr also. At least if they email me back saying it's ok to have it in the bush after the season closes at least I can print off the email and have it with me

As long as it's "bagged and tagged" legally...... what does it matter?

At home in your garage....at the processors (butcher's) cooler.........or in a tree at your camp site....as long as you don't allow it to spoil you should be safe

Have no fear of perfection.....you will never reach it

Thanks for all the info. Just didn't want to run into any issues with a co or at least plan for a quick trip to town. If all goes well I won't have to worry about it. My plans are a dead bear tomorrow morning and then salmon fishing in the evening. Surf and turf Sunday sounds good to me

Nuttin in the regs saying it cant be in yhe bush hanging on the meat pole after season ends. Like stated above. Notch the tag like it needs to be and keep the meat cool.
