Tozer08 13 Report post Posted January 19, 2016 I seen in a previous post that the second ice ridge is not passable by quad, just wondering if anyone knows if that has changed? Can you get out to granite island by quad?

Foozer 194 Report post Posted January 23, 2016 It'll be my first Black Bay experience tomorrow. Truck's loaded with gear and the 20 yr old 340 2-Up Puma. Lines are tied and 4 doz mediums in the cooler. And a doz worms, just in case. Hopefully the ice and trail are in good shape and the perch are biting. Not sure if we'll venture as far as Granite (wherever that is) but we should get a good ride in. See ya out there in the morning! Its a 9 mile ride from hurkett dock, just fish around where the other huts are and you should do well. If you have a gps, bring it. Granite island is a big bare looking rock to the right side of the bay.
