TroutHunter 39 Report post Posted December 31, 2015 So I recently purchased a new set of wading boots and want to put some studs in them. After researching, I found that some people are using 3/8" ice racing studs instead of the brand name ones. Simms in particular charges $30-$40 for a variety of studs in a 10 or 20 pack, where as I've found Kold Kutter ice racing studs sells a pack of 250 for about $20-$25. Now i'm no math wizard, but those savings are a no brainer to me. Anyone else get away from the big brand names to cut costs? Any other recommendations or advice? Thanks.
