TroutHunter 39 Report post Posted January 20, 2016 So with the "warmer" weather coming in the next few days, I'm seriously thinking about braving the cold, jumping in the waders, and wetting a line out at Silver Islet. I simply can't wait for spring haha.... That said, I need to do some tying. I'm thinking of using the usual suspects (wooly buggers, leeches, and baitfish patterns). I may try and make some smelt or sculpin patterns as well. Any other thoughts or ideas for winter flies?? I'm not targeting anything specific, but I'm guessing i could get into some lakers, rainbows and whitefish... maybe coaster brookies?? Tight Lines Adam Quote ** People often ask me why I like hunting and fishing so much... I tell them that those are the only places where my mind doesn't think.... You should really try it sometime! **
