chopper 3 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 very common problem. but $1200 is a bit high, i think i am charging around $900 here. looks like you have the box off in that picture. grab a new sending unit from the dealer and put her in. the sending unit from the dealer does not come with a new fuel level sensor. we generally don't put a new one in, there isn't any issues with them. but it's your call to put a new one in when you have the sending unit out. shmanks 21 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 I had the same problem on my envoy last year. I was charged around 900 and they had to drop the tank to change it. If you have access to it you should be able to change it yourself. YouTube is great for these sort of things but if you aren't comfortable with doing it its best to just bring it. Call around for prices you will have to change out the whole fuel pump and they aren't cheap.
