Scent

Recommended Posts

Guest Wes

So I just bought some laundry detergent to remove scent from all my hunting clothes. On my way home I started thinking about my scent, or rather, 'Fragrance', as I tell my wife. The deer will still smell me or am I wrong? If so, then having only washed my clothes would be pointless I guess.

Is there a "no scent" shower product out there that I should get? I did see a breath spray. Is that really necessary? I think I would more worried about the chili I ate the night before than what my toothpaste smells like. I won't be bow hunting so I won't be trying to bring them in very close, but close enough that I can shoot'em. I am a poor shot.

How accurate are these Deer Calls?

I know, lots of questions, but any advice I can get would be great. I have never hunted big game before so I would like to give it a shot. pun intended. The guys I will be with are experienced hunters so they will probably show me the ropes. I don't want to go into this without any knowledge.

This time, I'm trying to avoid being like the character Rodney Dangerfield played in Caddie Shack 1. When he enters the pro shop and say to the clerk..."i'll take 2 of those, 3 of these, a dozen of those pink nakid lady tees. OOO orange balls, gimme a dozen of those" haha
