Bobber Down 921 Report post Posted February 15, 2018 What causes that browny yellowish scum line on the bottom of boats? Anyone have experience with products available locally to defend against it or clean it off and not damage glass or paint. I would also suggest super cln by cackastrol but it says not to use on aluminum , I used it before and it works really good , also there's a whole whack of boat clnr stuff at CTC. Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted February 16, 2018 Sunlight dish soap and some elbow grease. When I fish the Kam River I get that on my boat. I always wash my boat between water bodies. That includes flushing out and cleaning live wells, pumps, bilge and bilge areas. Roger Quote R.T.R. Respect the resource!

Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted February 16, 2018 I'm scared to talk like that. I get in trouble when I take the sunlight dish soap and she sees I'm not doing the dishes! Roger Quote R.T.R. Respect the resource!
Sageboy 9 Report post Posted February 16, 2018 I have a white Lund and I get those brown stains on the sides where it meets the water line. I tried various soaps but they didn't work that great. I then tried Nu Finish polish and it took the stains off immediately with no fuss.
