klatown 3 Report post Posted March 31, 2019 New fly fisher here, I've been in Thunder Bay for a few years but am pretty new to fly fishing. Can anyone give me any info about any major insect hatches that usually happen?
Thefishleclair 175 Report post Posted April 1, 2019 Muddler Minnows! 😂. Sorry Had to...I dont fish the hatch to much, I run mostly streamers for brookies and the Drys I do toss are pretty standard, Royal Coachman, Wulf, Gnatt, Goddard Cadis. Fluffchucker420 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2019 This is one of the best and simplest explanations of fly fishing related insects and hatches I've seen. Doesn't hurt that the video is funny and short. FYI the guy has a degree in fisheries biology. He also points out some 'controversial' topics about matching the hatch etc.
