Pound 4 Pound 28 Report post Posted December 1, 2019 Just wondering if anyone has been up the Magone Rd and how much snow is up that way. Is it still drivable with 4x4 or is there enough snow for a sled. The wife wants to go Christmas tree hunting. Any info would be appreciated.

Big Guy 116 Report post Posted December 4, 2019 I don't believe it is plowed, but I saw a couple folks with ATV's up there on the weekend and it looked like there was good set of tracks heading down the road. I went to try snowmobiling on Escape but is was plowed quite a ways in. Dorion Cutoff is plowed 5 km in from 527 and to just before the wolf lake dam road on the other end. Big Guy 116 Report post Posted December 9, 2019 Escape is plowed in about 17 kms to shallownest east. It's also plowed further in to the wind farm but I didn't drive in to see how far. There was a slasher up there yesterday and a bunch of logging company trucks. I talked to a guy who snowmobiled over to escape from Magone and he said it was only plowed just past the main parking area.
