MichaelAngelo 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2020 A peculiar question for the Forum! I'm looking for a certain species of Whitefish... Round Whitefish or also goes by the name Menominee. I know they have good numbers in Lake Superior but wondering if anyone has ever caught them through the ice? I've seen videos of people catching them on batchewana bay, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have frozen over this year. I'm in Thunder Bay for a few days and looking for somewhere to try for them. If anyone has any info you can share I'm all ears! Thanks!
eyelander 164 Report post Posted February 2, 2020 Yup, that is the problem this year, no ice or SAFE ice to fish Superior for them this year. Have caught them out the north shore past Nipigon.
