Big Guy 116 Report post Posted July 2, 2020 So the last 2 fishing trips I have taken( one week apart), I have ended up with trailer flats. First flat last weekend was on the original 4.8 x 12" Carlisle tires that came on my trailer and the tread was getting low, so not unexpected. Went and bought 2 new rim and tire assemblies from Crappy T and ended up with another flat last night on the brand new tire. Small sharp pebble stuck in between the tread just like on the old tire. Any recommendations on better tires? I would really like to just keep the 12" 5 lug rims because I now have 4 rims lol but if I have to upgrade to larger rims to get a more puncture resistant tire I will. Also what does everyone run their trailer tire pressue at? Max as recommended by most resources? Thanks for any advice!
mmgg 26 Report post Posted September 6, 2020 There are different tire rating and ply # . if you are buying the cheapest CT one...... that may be your problem. Time for an upgrade if you are going off pavement
