Snowball 75 Report post Posted November 4, 2020 Does anyone have a nice map of Ontario on their computer, that shows lakes and rivers, that they are willing to share ? (Similar to the map you see when MNR gives a report on Forest Fires. Thank You Snowball

Snowball 75 Report post Posted November 4, 2020 Thank You ! Here is a map that is quite good, only problem is the roads are not dark enough. Anyone know how to darken the map ? Zoom in and out and lakes appear with names. Thanks, Snowball https://cwfis.cfs.nrcan.gc.ca/interactive-map?zoom=10¢er=1111869.5050119918,-213740.1027276589&month=07&day=24&year=2018#wb-cont
tracker 61 Report post Posted November 5, 2020 Hi Snowball: Have you tried the MNRF Forest Management Plans. Go to : https://nrip.mnr.gov.on.ca/s/fmp-online?language=en_US Choose Dog River/Mattawin for example, Click on Annual Work Schedule 2020-2021, Click on Annual Work Schedule maps, Click on Index Map 01 That will bring up the big map and than you can choose an operations area to get a better look at. DLC 5 Report post Posted January 13, 2021 These sites may be helpful. The Natural Resources Canada site yields maps you can print. Just insert the place you are looking for in the box, like the name of a lake or town. The second site is satellite imagery with reasonable resolution (likely from Google map). (hope I attached the links properly0 Toporama | Natural Resources Canada (nrcan.gc.ca) Center for Community Mapping (comap.ca) Daryl
