I remember seeing a picture years ago of a guy working in the engine compartment of his ford truck. He was standing between the wheel well and the engine. Must have been a small six cylinder or something similar.

Good idea. This guy made a video showing how he did it.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!

Hard to find something NOT on youtube or other social media sites these days. Regardless, back in the day, just being able to think of doing this after a weekend of fishing, campfires, thai stick and blotter is impressive.

Very resourceful.  Kudos to you.

I wonder if you had spun the alternator pulley in the opposite direction if it still would have charged?

Alternators charge in both direction, only has to do with cooling

Roger did you find out why the key has to be on.

From an older guy.

I dunno. Because it didn’t work with the key in the off position.

Yes I want to know......about the power packs, yes the do work.  Mine lives with me on my sled, in my boat, on my quad, and in my truck.  I have used it a few times for other people and once on my boat.  100% with the investment.  The one I got is Anti-Gravity. Got it at excalibur.  6 years old and so far, so good

What if you carry a juiced up hamster on a play wheel? Would that work?

Dead battery is no fun.
