Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted February 10, 2021 Here’s what happened and what I did. I went for a weekend with a buddy. We left at four am. Needed headlights to get there. Once there it was day light and didn’t shut off the head lights. This was like back in 1986. Had a twelve footer with a 9.9 Johnson pumpkin head. Loaded the boat with all our stuff. All the camping gear including a partner mini p 3 chain saw for fire wood. We had a great weekend. once done and back at the truck is when we realized my mess up. Dead battery. He was freaking and planning to walk out. The only tools I had was a 12 inch crescent wrench and a couple of screw drivers. So I took the bar off the chainsaw. Cut the pull cord off the outboard and weaved it the best I could into a loop. I disconnected the belt from the alternator put the loop around the pulley and put it on the drive sprocket of the chain saw and spun it for a whole tank of gas. Lesson learned. The key to the ignition must be on! Haha. Ran another tank through the chainsaw and put the belt back on and the alternator charged the battery enough to start the truck!!! 5 2 Quote R.T.R. He was standing between the wheel well and the engine. Must have been a small six cylinder or something similar. I have used it a few times for other people and once on my boat. 100% with the investment. The one I got is Anti-Gravity.
