Hey 

 

The check-in station will be open at 8:30am eastern-standard time (the same time zone as Thunder Bay)

 

The time change should be accounted for

Last big hill at the end of the day was glare ice. Many sleds getting stuck.

if you're going today, make sure you bring a Bud that can help you pull a sled or sleigh if it gets stuck. the normal hill, plus the hill rate at the lake were pretty icy

 

 Most people managed it well with some momentum, but there were a few people that got a little backed up. And a quad had to winch itself up the trail…

 

Fishing was ok, coming and going in waves.  Got 16, threw back half a dozen

..."threw back half a dozen"?  I seem to remember that we had to ice everything single fish we caught.  Seems like the average size has increased a LOT over the last 15 years...

You are allowed to release fish.  You can keep 5 lake trout and 1 pike any size.
