Nope but Windy Lake might be a good option to try as a creek runs from Yellowhammer Lake to Windy Lake. Never know what might be shared between the two.

Pretty sure Jones flows into windy too…

Be neat if there was a population of pumpkinseed that spread up from yellowhammer

I heard a story about old timers fishing with there lines tied to a piece of bamboo acting as a float and chasing the poles around the lake catching monster pike in Jones.

Interesting. I’ll have to revisit this Jones lake stuff. Maybe that’s sundays adventure after feeding calves

Jones is full of pike, mudhole is a minnow lake and not sure what's in windy.

I live 20 minutes from all three of these lakes and have fished them both summer and winter. Mudhole has tons of Pike but they are all small, average 14 to 16 inches. Jones has quite a few pike in it but we have never pulled anything big out, average 16 inches with a few upper 20's. Windy is a deep lake with average size pike and small perch. The biggest we have pulled out was a 27" in the summer. Winter is very hit and miss. All the pike lakes out past whitefish were over fished back in the early logging days and none have really bounced back. I have seen pictures from huge pike out of round lake and lots of them but nowadays you may catch a small one.

I’ve trapped minnows for personal use out of mud hole
