PkdR 11 Report post Posted May 22, 2023 As I was biking around boulevard tonight with the boy, I thought wouldn’t it be great if it was a stocked catch and release lake? Would fish hold up in there? If so, how could someone even attempt to bring it up to the MNR to consider something like that? …I think it would be great, it’s such a beautiful spot

PkdR 11 Report post Posted May 22, 2023 Yes, I do remember as a kid fishing there too but since it was drained a couple years back, I’m really not sure if much would be left?

Fishog 215 Report post Posted May 22, 2023 When Onion Lake dam was still there before some dumbass kids burnt it down there was a good population of walleye at the dam. Guessing since then the fish would go up or down river so there should be a some walleye in Boulevard. Problem with that lake is they keep draining the darn thing out to clean the bottom. That can't be good for any fish population.

brookiebuster 117 Report post Posted May 23, 2023 MNR used to release old brood stock brookies in there, not sure if they have recently or not. You’ll catch resident brookies, rainbows, walleye and perch. Quote "Whack em' and stack em',kill em' and grill em'" Ted Nugent

Fish ONLine will tell you if any lake has been stocked in the past ~10 years. No stocking records for Boulevard. Fishonline is good but it definitely misses a few lakes from time to time.
