Guest canuck Report post Posted March 4, 2008 The “X” Challenge March 28-30, 2008 Lakehead Archers Inc. is hosting its first ever X-Challenge fundraiser. The X challenge is a shoot-a-thon. The shooters would be club members or family and friends (who have their own equipment) of members. Past members or non-members and friends of the club are also invited to take part. The shooting fees, lunch or dinner and a beverage will be provided for all pledges of $25.00 or more for these individuals. Pledges will be obtained by shooters: pledges will consist of either a flat amount – say $5.00; or an amount per “X” – say $1.00. Members who do not want to shoot, could help out and/or sponsor the kids or another member who is shooting. The shooting times are as follows: Friday March 28rh from 5:00 until 8:00 in the evening; Saturday from 12:00 until 3:00 or 5:00 to 8:00; and Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 or 5:00 to 8:00. The shooting schedule will be posted at the club very shortly to enable the shooters to pick their times for shooting and lane if they desire. We would hope to collect all monies within a week of the shoot. Flat amounts can be collected at the time of the pledge, and x-count pledges should be collected within a few days after the shoot is complete so they can be turned in to the Club by April 6. The menu will include chili, beef-on-a-bun, and perogies available at no cost to all members who participate and non-members as mentioned above – with $25.00 or more in donations. Attached is a sponsor sheet for collecting pledges. Copies are also available at the Club.
