walleye seeker 39 Report post Posted September 30, 2023 Drive north on Black Sturgeon Rd from Hurkett. Best launch is into the Spruce River, follow the road on first left (west side) of the road after crossing the bridge. Can launch large boats here. Take it slow coming out of the river into the lake, multiple big rock piles can take off the lower end. Road typically gets worst from there to the north end of the lake; I haven’t been up this year. If pulling a smaller boat, may be able to launch at the access halfway up the lake or off the beach on north end. Can be super busy up that way this time of year with the recent cuts and numerous hunt camps. Oh and be prepared to paint your truck and boat orange/red from the dust and mud! Good luck.
