Guest Final Report post Posted March 14, 2008 Fish fillets at a shore lunch are a given, if your lucky enough to catch a few fish. So what is your favorite foods to go with those fillets? Mine is roasted red pepper and garlic home fries. Fresh garlic and onion scrambled eggs. Home made biscuts with butter. Camp fire perked coffee. Cinnamon buns. Guest TerryK Report post Posted March 18, 2008 A hot bowl of beef barley soup at the Missing Horse restaurant after a cold morning steelhead fishing! Easy to prepare. All i have to do is sit down, say a few words to the waitress and the soup magically appears in front of me!
Guest Patch Report post Posted March 18, 2008 I guess I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I like the fresh fillets dipped in egg, then a batter of Italian bread crumbs and parmesan. Fry up some sliced potatoes, warm up a can of baked beans and you've got yourself a darn fine meal.

Fry up some sliced potatoes, warm up a can of baked beans and you've got yourself a darn fine meal. Patch you took the menu right out of my head. I pan fry my Wallys at 250 degrees, (WALLYS are golden brown) any hotter and the bread crumbs burn. on a 17 inch cast frypan, with a turkey burner and 5lb propane tank. Potatoes are seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, parsley and rosemary. We had six shore lunches last summer/fall and they were fantastic, a real treat for most, because I believe most people talk about shore lunches but don't do it. It also is a good time to get out and stretch. and in the summer the kids can swim while I cook. Quote REELBAIT
