lonely yearling moose along Hwy 61 last week?

did anybody else see that moose hanging out alongside 61 last week? I drove to the border on Wednesday the 9th, and saw a yearling standing on the side of the highway a few miles past cloud river trading post. On the way back from the border 1.5 hrs later it was still there. The next day I drove to duluth around noon, and it was in the same spot, then on my return 8 hours later, it was still standing there. seemed mighty odd, wondered if its mother had been killed, or perhaps it had brainworm? Have heard of a few cases across the northwest recently with calves having brainworm, sad to see.

just wondered how many others saw this same animal if any?
