TArmstrong 7 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 So as well as the Clark Clan, I had some luck chasing gobblers in Southern Ontario this week. what an absolute rush!!! opening morning I got a 22lb Tom, 1.5" spurs, and a 9" beard. and the second morning of the season I managed to get another big Tom; 21lbs, 1 3/8" spurs, 9.5" beard and also on opening my buddy I was hunting with got a 14lb jake; these were both our first turkeys, on our first turkey hunt, what a great trip! GC 54 31 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Congrats Tom, like you said, what a rush. I didn't get a chance to shoot at any again this year, but was up close and personal to the female bird, had a hen five yards from my feet and she didn't even realize I was sitting there. Oh well, there is always next year.
