Well, it almost came to that. I was able to call this rut crazed buck to within 50 yards from about 400 yards away - all in about 5 minutes. Not a bad way to start a wall of shame in my new garage. As for the white slax - they won't be making a return to the bush. Quite an error in judgement. Cack got quite a kick out of watching them turn red as the deer drained directly on my leg while holding it up for tie-down on the quad. Needless to say, his knot-tying skills declined rapidly with my pleaded urgency. Ever have that dream where you're standing at the toilet... Hmmm, why is my thigh strangely warm.
