Guest FreshwaterFisherman Report post Posted November 10, 2008 Hey all. I am a very avid soft water fisherman but have only been ice fishing maybe a total of 10 times in my life. Was just curious as to whether or not someone might mind takin a guy new for a day and introducing him to the ice sport. I simply cant just sit around waiting for spring anymore, its depressing. I'd like to learn some of the basics as I just tend to drill holes where I assume the fish would move. Usually to me thats just the deep water nearest the productive spots in the fall. If this concept sounds somewhat correct maybe I just need to put more time in. If theres more to it than that than maybe someone would not mind giving me a lesson. I'd need to pick up an ice fishing rod but im not too worried about that as I assume the prices cant be too ridiculous. p.s. I'll fish for anything if its got fins. Thanks alot guys Brodie K.
