sinker7 114 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 Yes, got out to a speck lake west of the city and spent the morning there. -28c according to the truck thermometer. Fortunately there was absolutely no wind. Had two bites and missed both fish. Later in the day we ventured to a nearby walleye lake and fished until dark. We managed to catch three walleye a one pike. The last walleye of the day was 28"- she was released. Hoping the weather warms up a bit for next weekend. AB 98 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 Mahumba and I went out to Whitefish on Sunday afternoon. Considering the wild swing in the weather - Freezing to mild and the pressure drop we did alright landing three walleyes, one pike and a half dozen or so perch in the 3 hours we spent on the lake. Sure was glad to have the tent and a heater to warm up our hands. When are we going to learn to bring a minnow net and a hand towel? iceman - quite literally - still thawing out!
