Guest mattyG Report post Posted December 18, 2008 Hello, I was wondering if it's against the law to have more than one hook on your line. For example three hooks each with a minnow all at different depths.
Guest MNR Report post Posted December 18, 2008 Yes, under the Ontario Fishery Regulations, you are allowed to angle with up to four hooks attached to a line. A hook is defined in the regulations as: a single or multiple-pointed on a common shaft (but does not include a snagger). So a single hook counts as one hook and a treble hook counts as one hook. Have a look at pages 7 & 8 of the Fishing Summary (www.mnr.gov.on.ca) for an anglers guide to general regulations.
