Hello, I was wondering if it's against the law to have more than one hook on your line. For example three hooks each with a minnow all at different depths.

Yes, under the Ontario Fishery Regulations, you are allowed to angle with up to four hooks attached to a line.

A hook is defined in the regulations as: a single or multiple-pointed on a common shaft (but does not include a snagger). So a single hook counts as one hook and a treble hook counts as one hook.

Have a look at pages 7 & 8 of the Fishing Summary (www.mnr.gov.on.ca) for an anglers guide to general regulations.
