Took the whole family out today for some Brook trout fishing. My daughter just turned 1 and she did her first ice fishing trip today. We only went for 5 hours and managed to get one fish that my kids wanted to cook up on the fire. We ate it at home later. My oldest son went over 2 hours with no mitts on I am so proud of him. We had a fire and were hidden from the NASTY wind that was howling across the lake. We all had fun.

looks like you were at male lake. i was there about 3 weeks ago and fished in the same spot and caught 1 in 4 hours. did you get lots of perch bites?

Yes I was at male lake. We only had the one bite and we caught the brook trout. The wind was really howling and the sticks were always moving. We never lost any minnows though.
