Guest FreshwaterFisherman Report post Posted January 22, 2009 Well I received $200.00 in gift certificates for D&R at christmas and am looking to buy a new rod and reel. Any recommendations? The rod will be mostly for pike and bass. I am an avid fan of pfleuger reels but may decide to try something else if theres some good reviews on another brand of reel. As for the rod I am open to suggestions but would prefer to stick with a medium action in the 6 1/2-7 1/2' length. Brodie K.

Guest FreshwaterFisherman Report post Posted January 23, 2009 What are the specs on the walleye classic? As well whats the price tag on it? Will it still be a decent rod for bass and hows the backbone on since i do quite often fish for pike. Brodie K.
Buck 120 32 Report post Posted January 23, 2009 You can check the specs on it at www.fenwickfishing.com/. Prices are all over the net, cabelas, etc. $59-$64 usd for the Eagle GT and I think I paid around $120 for the walleye classic at DNR but that was a few years ago. I bought both my Eagle GT and my wife's walleye classic at DNR. Try calling DNR. Roger may know off the top of his head. Quote Not just a 3 month season but a 12 month obsession!!!
