The new boat prop results

I finally had the boat on the river myself today to try out a different prop. I startted with a 13 X 17P aluminum prop and got 43-44 mph And only 5000 rpm. I tried a 13 3/4 X 15P and the rpm shot up to 5300-5400 but the speed dropped to 40 mph. It did have one hell of a hole shot though. I thought the boat was going to stand up on end. It was on plane in about 15 foot! Maybe try a stainless next.
