Some Old Guy

Is it allowable to pose and take a photo of an out of season fish?

The Ontario Fishery Regulations, 2007 say that if a person catches a fish, the possession or retention of which is prohibited by the regulations, they must immediately return the fish to the waters from which it was caught and, if the fish is still alive, release it in a manner that causes the least harm to that fish. No matter what condition the fish is in, you still can’t possess it.

Immediately means without delay. In most instances, taking the time to take a picture would be considered a delay in returning the fish to the water.
