Guest Potshot21 Report post Posted October 27, 2010 Hi, I am looking at getting into reloading my own cartridges, but I dont really know where to start or what I need. I have looked at both Hornady's Lock-n-Load reloading kit, and a RCBS reloading kit (both on cabelas.ca) and both boast necessary equipment to reload. I am leaning more towards the Hornady kit, but I'm not sure what half of the stuff included is even! Does it have the proper stuff for resizing cases with it? I've heard this is important, and I am confused as to what the dies function are. So if someone who knows a thing or two would let me know, it would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone, Potshot
Guest Beamer Report post Posted October 30, 2010 RCBS would be my choice, they make great stuff and have been leaders in the industry for years. Most kits you buy have the required gear to get started and are sufficient for getting into reloading. The dies actually perform the resizing action, one die does this function and the other is for bullet seating. If it is a three die set the third die is usually a crimping die.
