    Forbes Lake FYI

    scandiman posted a topic in General Fishing

    Hey all, ran into a CO on the weekend and asked about Forbes lake (near sturge) and he informed me that there are natural brookies in it. did a little digging and found a nipigon area stocking list that listed Forbes as being stocked in 2002 (possibly before that yr also) so I talked to the CO and he mentioned that despite being stocked previously, it's listed a as a natural brook trout lake because the stocked fish naturalized in the lake. Just an interesting bit of info for anyone that fishes the lake.
