  1. I am hoping to do a little more cisco fishing this winter. My hope is to pickle them (rollmops) or smoke them. I've caught cisco up to 21 inches long but any size is good. All were caught at Silver Harbour or in Northern Lights Lake. Any tips in finding, catching, cleaning, preparing these babies would be appreciated. Best success has been on small swedish pimples or tiny green jig heads or just a bare hook with a tiny minnow. A bright wire worm also works as does small jigging baits like williams wablers and chubby darters.I know about the pearl under the lure trick. Am I missing something? Happy New Year!
