hard water bets

Recommended Posts

pastor norm

I've seen ponds frozen clear across.

There's probaby shallow water ice in higher

elevations away from the the Big Lake

I am betting dollars to donuts

I will be ice-fishing Whitefish Lake

on Nov. 29th,

right after a five day cold snap.

I think November might be a little early this year. Unless your teachings have included the skill of walking on water. :D

drove atv through a big pond on weekend, almost 2 inches of solid ice , front tires were climbing and breaking ice as i followed trail, most bodies of water had snow on them, so 2 weeks may do it , i was up dorion cutoff, a lot colder with 1000 ft of elevation change, i think tease lake will freeze before whitefish

December 15th.

I like December 15th too...The Weather Woman Fiona Gardiner TBTV says it is unseasonably warm better to be safe than frozen like a pop sickle.

I'm an optimist... so.. I am praying for a cold snap.

BTW... we had to learn to walk on water at the seminary... really helped having a frozen pond next door.

December 3rd on Whitefish lake! The last few seasons have had mild Novembers, but the ice still seems to form. CYA on the lake on the 3rd.

Last year, Dec 2nd on Whitefish. 5"

This year, I'll bet I'm on ice before December rolls around. Nov 27th. Northwards though.

A few years ago I was on whitefish on nov 5th. I'm sure someone will be out before dec hits. My guess is the 28th for a "safe" 3 - 4 inches, maybe a fishable 1.5" by the 25th if you stay within a few feet of shore.
