WalleyeWayne 137 Report post Posted December 5, 2011 I fished Whitefish yesterday and it has 5"-6" of good solid ice. I took out my sled and toboggan with 2 guys on the sled and 1 riding in the toboggan (my 2nd sled had a fuel leak). There is a very light dusting of snow on the lake so if your sliders heat easily, you may want to re-think taking your sled. Perfect for a quad or walking when there isn't snow to slog through. We fished for 2-1/2 hrs and had several "drive-byes" while only hooking a couple perch. Gonna try Lac next weekend - it should also be good to go especially after this weekend of colder temperatures.
