Maybe the Whitefish, or Devon Road area?I will be heading out the first weekend after moose closes and was wondering how the ice was. WalleyeWayne 137 Report post Posted December 2, 2011 After flying over Lac yesterday it appears to be frozen over, with snow cover, from Sawmill Bay to Pine Point. From there and beyond it's frozen but without much snow cover.
Guest churppy Report post Posted December 2, 2011 went by whitefish yesturday after pastor norm was there and saw a sled towing a small ice hut out from the left of the public landing. also south fowl had approx 4 inches of good ice 75 feet from shore
WalleyeWayne 137 Report post Posted December 5, 2011 I fished Whitefish yesterday and it has 5"-6" of good solid ice. I took out my sled and toboggan with 2 guys on the sled and 1 riding in the toboggan (my 2nd sled had a fuel leak). There is a very light dusting of snow on the lake so if your sliders heat easily, you may want to re-think taking your sled. Perfect for a quad or walking when there isn't snow to slog through. We fished for 2-1/2 hrs and had several "drive-byes" while only hooking a couple perch. Gonna try Lac next weekend - it should also be good to go especially after this weekend of colder temperatures.
