gsambray 172 Report post Posted December 4, 2011 i cant seem to find the answer that I am looking for in the hunting regulation book. what are the regs towards wolf hunting. I know you need a small game license and a wolf tag in order to hunt them but what about the meat? i did read that it was illegal to let the hide spoil but what about the rest of the animal? is it legal to keep the hide and dispose of the rest of the animal or is it in the same category os other big game were you have to keep the meat?If i can find the answer to these questions that would be a lot of help as I am thinking about giving wolf hunting a try. Guest MNR Report post Posted December 5, 2011 You are correct that the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act requires a hunter to possess a small game licence and wolf game seal in order to legally hunt wolf. The act also prohibits a hunter or trapper that possesses game wildlife (except a furbearer) from allowing its flesh (meat) to spoil. A hunter or trapper who kills a furbearing mammal shall not abandon the pelt or permit the pelt to be spoiled or destroyed.Wolf is listed as a fur bearer under the FWCA
