McGinnis_Fishing 49 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Started off the morning out just pass the break wall, did a few zig zags then headed for the welcomes. Didnt get a bite! Then we went and fishing pie island and got nothing there. Burned across to black bay got nothing there. Went back to the harbour and got nothing. We saw 1 boat of many bring in 1 fish. We had every colour imaginable, even a blue and silver nasty boy. Tried different depths everything could not get a salmon to bite! It seemed like a slow morning for everyone though. Unless im wrong? Did anyone else go out today? Oh ya did i mention i woke up at 2:30 am, And have to work at 4 pm. Its going to be a long night!

walleye warrior 3 Report post Posted July 11, 2012 I'm going to try the salmon derby this weekend but I'm relatively new to salmon fishing. I have 2 downriggers and Rods. Just looking for a few tips like water temp., lure type, Dow to fish in, to get me going in the right direction. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks
McGinnis_Fishing 49 Report post Posted July 11, 2012 Look for 52-53 degrees, depth isnt too important, i prefer 30-100 FOW, rigers set one at 40 and one at 20, prefered colours would be your blues, purples and watermelons. Hope this helps.Justin
