This was in the wilds of Jicarilla / Apache land, northern NM mountain range. Late September 2012. Took one clean shot. I now have enough elk hair to last a lifetime for tying some fav. fly's for fly fishing. Elk meat is amazing...freezer is FULL.Hope everyone is having a good winter!!
