11 am.............Shelter Bay is starting to open up. On left edge of pic, midway up is a swath of open water reaching back to Monro Point narrows. 10:30 am, the boat launch still tight ice.

Just spoke to my father on upper Shebs. In the last few hours the lake has opened up with all the strong winds. Not completely free of ice but it looks very good for the weekend.

If theres no wind you will have to dodge some ice. Picture shows a large ice flow between Sitches and Cranberry Island. 2nd picture, middle sheban........hopeless. As of 5:15 pm today

was on lower today from launch to cranberry there was a few ice flows in the morning but by the afternoon everything was gone on our end
