So should I have gone in the draw instead of buying my additional seals during hunting season?

the draw is for antlerless a validation, all it does is allow you to harvest a doe instead of a buck , so coupled with your 2 additional tags you could harvest 3 does.

surplus tags dont usually sellout till mid october, so ya draw isnt for an extra tag just validation. buying aditional tags early isnt an issue as there are always lots avail during the season.

although before they could tell us how many are left now with new system they cannot

2500 additional avail. for WMU 13. I think it is safe to say they won't sell out too quickly.

Antlerless tags are good for any deer with no antlers. Also tags are not available until Oct 15???? New tag system sucks

You've been misinformed fishleclair, I just bought a surplus tag the other day. Only avail online and over the phone. There were two opportunities to buy surplus antlerless tags. beginning of July then again starting 16th to 31.

Go to the MNR site fishleclair and you can get the phone# to call, or just buy the surplus tag online. You only have a couple of days left or you'll be waiting until October.

if they changed sale of surplus this will suck for a lot of people who buy during season, missing out on archery for some i guess
