Buck 120 32 Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Our group got a cow tag in 13 with 8 in the group. I was tag holder for our group last year so I was in pool 2 this year. I applied for cow, first choice 15b, second choice 21a. I got a cow tag in 21a even though I am pool 2. And I thought we would just be deer hunting this year. These numbers from the mnr for guaranteed group are garbage in my opinion. I've never shot one in archery but would have applied as an individual if I thought I had a chance. Complete bullsh*t. He applied for cow in 13 but for some reason got a tag for cow 21a bow season. Checked the print out and he did apply both choices for 13. Bottom Bouncer 22 Report post Posted August 8, 2014 1 Bull Tag 12B Gun. Kinda imbarassed on the size of our group. Just to give you an idea. We are renting a bus to get everyone out there and if successful we hope to feed the entire group one hamburger each, providing we grind up the whole moose into hamburger. Our group is so big we're having another Draw inside our group to see who gets to go with the tag holder. The rest are just cooks and caddies. Nice to have someone carry your lunch and gun. I believe there were a lot of people who were on the fence before the draw and didn't like the odds and just threw in the towel. It will be interesting to know how many applied. I know that there were several in our group who would not have applied if we had not gotten together collectively. I personally have never been in a group larger than 3, I also have not hunted with 7 of the 8 in our group this year. Foozer 194 Report post Posted August 8, 2014 No luck for us! We have four in our "party" and all applied as indivuals. One had a tag last year, and one new member (so pool 2 for both of them) the other two have not gotten a tag in AT LEAST the last two draws. Strange results we're hearing about too. Next year there will be 4 of us in pool 1 for sure, so we may have to go the party route for one adult tag.
