The ice on Lake Tamblyn at the university was frozen quite well last Friday, course the lake is only 4 ft. deep and small. I still would not walk on it though. Whitefish can freeze over really fast because it is shallow also, but any sustained wind will break it open in places. I probably will not try to fish it until late November or early December.

A buddy was on the ice in Sawmill Bay on LDL. He drilled a hole in 1 1/2 inches of ice....His photo shows it frozen solid as far as you can see. Nuts is all I can say!!!!!
