ball joint replacement

Recommended Posts

My trucks front ball joints are finished and I've ordered new ones and am looking for someone/where that will replace them for me, I unfortunately do not have the equipment to do it. Fountain tire told me that they dont install somebody else's parts.

That's because they want to mark up the parts. Any real mechanic should do it for you. I go to Grant Auto but he is booked up for a couple weeks. I try to stick to small garages and avoid dealerships, alignment shops and the like,

Thanks all to replied! I ended up swapping out the balljoints yesterday before I made the trip back to Thunder Bay because I didn't feel comfortable driving from NorthBay on the old ones....way too much play for my comfort. Delaying my trip was probably a good idea, since both the 11 and 17 were apparently in horrible condition.
