Just starting in Nipigon nothing has ran in the jackpine yet but Jesse lake was loaded Saturday night

What is a good spot to get smelts around nipigon?

Pbear on Saturday at Jesse lake they were in thick filled a 5 gallon Pail in two scoops at 1am and the mouth of the jack pine should be prime as well by now

Snow shut 'em down--got enough for a feed and then it snowed and checked every nite for week--nada!


Reports I got from Gull Bay--same thing--not much of smelt run this year on Lake Nipigon.


Water Temps on main lake are around 36 F--warmest I could find in the river was 38 F--that was yesterday May 21
