Lyle Reiner 174 Report post Posted May 28, 2015 K seriously guys lol. I dont know how to get there from birchell Quote Prostaff For Lowrance Canada
NWO 23 Report post Posted May 28, 2015 Go highway towards Shebandowan way..... -Turn left at squeezers (just past Kash river)-Stay left at Burchell turnoff-Turn left down road past Heart Lake Road. (if my memory serves, I think you reach a 'T' in the road. GO LEFT) Good drive to take a hand-held GPS or print a map and measure clicks as you go. Scout it out on Google Earth first. The last 8km are a bit rough....a bit rocky....a bit steep in a spot or two.......so just be prepared to go slow and you'll get there.
#One 41 Report post Posted May 29, 2015 I towed my tent trailer in there the Boreal Rd way and went out the Burchell Lake Rd both are washboard in spots. Boreal was a shorter distance. 1 Quote Walleye Man

BPFishing 2 Report post Posted June 3, 2015 I've always thought the best way in was the Boreal.
NWO 23 Report post Posted July 26, 2015 Hey guys.......how has the Boreal held up this summer?I'm thinking about a trip to Nelson myself. Looking to see what the washboard situation is.
mikejson 35 Report post Posted July 29, 2015 I'm actually looking to head out this weekend. I've always taken hwy 11 out... Is Boreal actually better this year? I always found the first 6km(to the Y) down Burchell was rough, but then it was pretty good... Boreal has more dirt road total right? Looking up on Google Maps, it doesn't even show Boreal road as an option... odd... https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Thunder+Bay,+ON/48.4409951,-90.5541107/@48.428293,-90.0214246,10.35z/data=!4m8!4m7!1m5!1m1!1s0x4d5921774c16e98d:0x3d0557348f1d8b74!2m2!1d-89.2476823!2d48.3808951!1m0 Has anyone been out on August long weekend in recent years... has it been a s**tshow or is it relatively laid back? mikejson 35 Report post Posted July 29, 2015 Ah, had to tell Google I wanted to go to Boreal Road first Total distance for Boreal is 108km from TBay, and Hwy11 is 140km... I guess it's all about the road condition... Here's the google map to Nelson through Boreal https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Thunder+Bay,+ON/Boreal+Rd,+Nolalu,+ON+P0T+2K0/48.4415912,-90.5548702/@48.4377222,-90.0202638,11z/data=!4m15!4m14!1m5!1m1!1s0x4d5921774c16e98d:0x3d0557348f1d8b74!2m2!1d-89.2476823!2d48.3808951!1m5!1m1!1s0x4d58988b512952b3:0x468bb3c30c1205f3!2m2!1d-89.8808423!2d48.3740631!1m0!3e0
vesh_89 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2015 Burchell lake Rd has been re done this year. Widened and they fixed that awful washboard on the hill after the Y. You can easily do 60-70 km/h with a boat trailer. I drive it all the time.
Northoman 29 Report post Posted August 17, 2015 Hi Just wondering if anyone know's the condition of Glenwater Rd between Adrian LK rd and Boreal? I believe last year there was a beaver dam close to the road that you had to drive through, which wasn't bad as of last fall. But I have a camper on the truck now and don't want to push my luck. Thanks.
Lundy 9 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 Drove from the boreal to km 13 on glenwater today, two pretty bad washouts and two beaver ponds coming onto the road. No problem with 4x4 and take it slow but might be pushing it with camper on. Hope this helps.
