ghart 55 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 yes, news from the south is calling -15 extreme cold... bridges don't feel windchill. SO i wonder if Kama is frozen over yet muhahaha Quote In the Age of Information, Ignorance is a Choice.
eyelander 164 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 Well if Kama is, we can't get to it for a bit. I wouldn't want to be working on that bridge in these temps if there is any wind though. The wind will just follow the river channel. Quote Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

Adrian 132 Report post Posted January 11, 2016 And it wasn't really that cold, just -24. They said with the windchill, it was -34....many people do not understand windchill. If it is -24 and a 30 km/hr wind, it is still only -24. Windchill is simply a number that simply explained means that (in this case) that the temp is only -24, but with the wind, it removes heat as fast as if it was -34.. Your car likely has a temp reading on the dash, and it does not change as you speed up....I think someone has some serious 'splaining to do!!!!
