I'm going to be there on the long weekend and hope the ice is ok. May take a ride out to see this weekend if no one had posted. I'm expecting slush and slush and more slush on top of less than a foot of ice. But I could be wrong

All of the lakes between whitefish and northern lights are very slushy and current areas that are normally frozen by now are open

we're I am it would be pretty risky prob a foot of snow and 6 inches of slush

underneath it you would have to be going pretty fast I would say.

I'm headed out to Arrow this weekend. I'm curious if there are any baits that work better than others.

Williams or a white tube jig with a minnow on it.

Agreed with the clackin rap. Worked great last year for me too. Also a 4inch white tube tipped with a large minnow or sucker minnow. Both were the only two things used last winter

We fished on Saturday morning and managed to catch 6 fish.  It was pretty slushy in places and had deep snow drifted in others.  It was more of a challenge keeping the kids feet dry.  We used white tube jigs and managed one fish on a set mine.
