gsambray 172 Report post Posted February 1, 2016 I'm going to be there on the long weekend and hope the ice is ok. May take a ride out to see this weekend if no one had posted. I'm expecting slush and slush and more slush on top of less than a foot of ice. But I could be wrong
naden 136 Report post Posted February 1, 2016 All of the lakes between whitefish and northern lights are very slushy and current areas that are normally frozen by now are open

adam_k 19 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 On arrow right now and ice conditions are the same 10-11 inches of ice with a fair bit of slush..fishing was ok this morning caught 2 but has slowed down a lot since 9 am . Cheers
Tozer08 13 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 Do you think a quad with chains would make it on the lake?
adam_k 19 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 we're I am it would be pretty risky prob a foot of snow and 6 inches of slush underneath it you would have to be going pretty fast I would say.

tronnyd88 25 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 a really lively medium minnow has aways worked best for me
Tozer08 13 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 Pearl white size 06 clackin rap worked wonders last year!
gsambray 172 Report post Posted February 5, 2016 Agreed with the clackin rap. Worked great last year for me too. Also a 4inch white tube tipped with a large minnow or sucker minnow. Both were the only two things used last winter

pbear 24 Report post Posted February 8, 2016 We fished on Saturday morning and managed to catch 6 fish. It was pretty slushy in places and had deep snow drifted in others. It was more of a challenge keeping the kids feet dry. We used white tube jigs and managed one fish on a set mine.
