Nice calm day to be out though. On Saturday it was a great calm day, stinkin hot, but calm! Fished out of Silver Harbour, several miles offshore. Found a thermal slick line and worked it for hours and many miles. Bugs and crap on the surface, 3 degree temperature change within 100 ft. Schools of bait and predator fish were hanging around on both sides of the line. No salmon, but the lakers were bigger than normal, there was a lot, and they gave a pretty good account of themselves on the end of the line. A couple had my hopes up that I had finally found the chinooks. Its that time of the year when the salmon are on the move. Here one day, gone the next. Keep washing those lures guys and let us know how your doing! AB
